BBC CHRISTMAS PARTY EXCITEMENT FANTASTIC Old Santa says he is making his list and checking it twice, gona find out who went birding or who lied about going birding. Santa has received several e-mails complaining about regional birders who have told fibs about good birds seen this year. The jolly ol' elf is not putting up with this behavior. He plans on dealing with dishonesty. Meanwhile, birders from throughout the region are busy working on their delicious dishes for Saturday night's party. Chief Santa Elf, Dave Worley, is asking Congress for a $350,000 bailout for the Bristol Bird Club. President Worley has stated that the BBC's expected expenses for the annual BBC Christmas Party will be close to $250,000. Another $100,000 will be spent on a new General Motors bus to haul BBC members around on local field trips. BBC is at risk of going broke by February if the bailout money does not arrive. He is driving his car to the party rather than flying in the Santa sled he usually takes. BBC members are looking forward to a great evening of fellowship and hope all other regional birders will join in. -- Saturday, Dec 6, at 6 p.m. at Michele Sparks' home.
