Bristol Area Birders:

The Sabine's Gull seen a photographed Sunday at South Holston Lake in
Sullivan County, TN/VA has not been seen today (Mon.) according to the
latest report at 4:30 p.m. Eastern time.

Roger Milhorn, Lynda Milhorn and Dave Worley have been watching for the gull
and Worley plans to staty until about 6 p.m. Eastern.

Edward S. "Ned" Brinkley, Editor of North American Birds (published by the
American Birding Association) wrote today in regards to the Sabine's Gull
photographs from South Holston Lake: "Unquestionably, a juvenal-plumaged
Sabine's Gull, born this year, and GORGEOUS! Congratulations! Not sure how
many TN records there are, but I know of 9 VA records."

"Congrats, Indeed a rare treat and a great find. It is the season for these
beauties and everyone should be scanning open water with these birds in mind
right now," wrote Jeff R. Wilson, the OL'COOT of Bartlett, TN, one of the
South's most notable birders.

The bird was found Sunday by Rack and Sammy Cross and Ed Talbott. It was
also observed the same day by Bert Hale, Loraine Hale, Janice Martin and
Wallace Coffey.

A webpage with three (3) pages of about 15 pictures can be visited at:
