November 18, 2012 Kingsport, Sullivan County, Tennessee Mark Armstrong (Curator of Birds at the Knoxville Zoo) came up this morning to band a hummingbird coming to a feeder at a home near Warrior's Path State Park in Kingsport. He identified the bird as a hatching year female Rufous Hummingbird. Mark said this was the second Rufous he had banded in Kingsport this season and had also banded three coming to the same feeder in Mountain City.
