Saturday, December 11, the Herndon Bird Club held a field trip in western Washington County, TN Rick Knight, Gil Derouen, Jim and Darla Anderson, Rob Biller and Roy Knispel participated. Birding sites included Bush Hog Pond and area along Precision Blvd., Henderson Marsh in Bowmantown, Keebler Road and areas around Limestone, and the Stockton Road area on the Green County line. Highlights were NORTHERN HARRIER, LOGGERHEAD SHRIKE, HORNED LARK, BROWN CREEPER, RED-HEADED WOODPECKER, and AMERICAN PIPIT. 54 species, listed below, were seen and/or heard. The group finished the trip with lunch at the Mountain View Restaurant on Hwy 11E west of Jonesborough. The trip was planned by Roy Knispel and led by Rick Knight.
