Birders,
Yesterday and today (31st Jan. & 1st Feb.) I spotted
two (2) Red-tailed Hawks, (adult & Juv.) one (1) in Mountain City,
Johnson County, Tennessee and the Juvenile on Old Hwy 421,
Zionville, Watauga County, North Carolina.
the Mountain City hawk was on the wing being mobbed by four (4)
American Crows. The Zionville hawk was perched, obviously scanning
for its unsuspected prey! It was alarmed by my presents and flew about
twenty (20) yards. I tell you, these birds of prey will give you an
adrenaline
rush!!!
