This morning from the dam overlook, there were 8 Red-necked Grebes about 1/2 mile upstream from the dam. Also 20 Ring-billed Gulls and 2 Great Blue Herons. Below the dam there were 28 Great Blue Herons (24 on nests in trees on the south side of tailwaters), 20 Ring-billed Gulls, 2 Pied-billed Grebes, a female Common Goldeneye, 2 Belted Kingfishers.
