[Bristol-Birds] Recent birds at Steele Creek Park

Recent birds at Steele Creek Park in Bristol, TN include
Greater White-fronted Goose: 1/26/07, still present when I left at 4:30,
observed by Jeremy Stout,
Rudy Morales, Rick Knight, Reece Jamerson and me. It moved around with
Canada Geese
between the lake and the golf course. The nature center opens at 10 am
on Saturday,
989-5616. This is a park record.
Wood Duck: 1/26, found by Rick Knight. First this winter.
Ruffed Grouse: 1/20.
Pied-billed Grebes: (2) daily.
Black Vultures: (3) 1/24.
Cooper's Hawk: 1/26.
Golden Eagle: 1/24, observed by Jeremy and me. It flew over the lake. This
is a park record.
Killdeer: 1/12.
Ring-billed Gull: 1/26.
Hairy Woodpecker: 1/20.
Eastern Phoebe: most days.
Brown Creeper: 1/11, 1/13, 1/20.
Winter Wren: 1/13
Golden-crowned Kinglets: most days.
