Area Birders, The last couple of days I have been hearing a Raven croaking as it flies from ridge to ridge. This is the first one I've heard since before the first of the year. This evening just after dark I heard a Barred Owl calling from a neighboring ridge. It was calling in spite of fairly strong wind gusts and neighbor's dogs barking. I figure it must be mating season and the hormones must be flowing. Two male Purple Finches are still visiting my feeders regularly. Enjoy the birds, Roger Mayhorn Grundy, VA ************************************************* BRISTOL BIRDS NET LIST This is a regional birding list sponsored by the Bristol Bird Club to facilitate communications between birders and bird clubs of Southwest Virginia and Northeast Tennessee.
