Just a couple notes to add to posts by others. I was at Rankin Bottoms later in the day and never did see the 3 White Ibis reported by Rick Knight and others. I hung around until dusk hoping to see them fly in to roost in the bottoms, but the egrets appear to now be roost at some site west of the railroad tracks. I did get to see the Black-crowned Night-Herons coming into the bottoms, though. Also, I waded across the mud to the gravel road and walked back to the gated pond, but only found a Solitary Sandpiper for that effort. The Laughing Gulls were on a small sandbar viewable from the boat ramp at the south end of the bridge on 25E.
