Rankin Bottoms, Cocke county, 8/26, 6-8:30, by canoe
Douglas Lake elevation: 985.3, viewing from shore should be decent by next 
weekend

Plenty of shorebirds, not much variety - 7 species.  Last year on 8/27, 17 
species were seen.
We stayed after sunset near the heronry at the south end of the embayment to 
count incoming little blues.

Semipalmated Plover (16)
Killdeer (400+)
Spotted Sandpiper (5)
Solitary Sandpiper
Semipalmated Sandpiper (14)
Least Sandpiper (150)
Pectoral Sandpiper (15)
Caspian Tern
