Rankin Bottoms, Cocke County, 4/28/12, 3-8PM, by canoe
Douglas Lake elevation: 987 ft. - too high for extensive viewing from shore.

Plenty of eagle activity - a 5-photo sequence of eagle vs. osprey starts at
http://www.pbase.com/image/142985051
No unusual shorebird species, despite good numbers; better luck with waterfowl
- Red-Breasted Merganser was a lifer for us, close looks at some Horned
Grebes, and a late Snow Goose.
