Area Birders, Early in the day, as the snow began to fall here on our mountain top in Buchanan County, two male Purple Finches materialized at the seed feeders. They stayed around most of the day along with the female Red-bellied Woodpecker, the 22 Cardinals, the White-breasted Nuthatches, the Carolina Chickadees, the Dark-eyed Juncos and the dozens of House Finches and Goldfinches. I took a photo of one of the Purple Finches as he sat on our heated birdbath. Take a look. http://www.bcplnet.org/birdclub/gallery/PFinch.htm Enjoy the birds, Roger Mayhorn Grundy, VA ************************************************* BRISTOL BIRDS NET LIST This is a regional birding list sponsored by the Bristol Bird Club to facilitate communications between birders and bird clubs of Southwest Virginia and Northeast Tennessee.
