Hi folks:
Just finished another Project FeederWatch season.
The Cornell Lab of Ornithology's
*Project**FeederWatch**is**a**winter*-*long**survey**of**birds**that**visit**feeders**at**backyards*,*nature**centers*,*community**areas*,
and other locales in North America.*FeederWatchers*periodically count
the*birds*they see at their*feeders*from November through early April
and send their counts to*Project**FeederWatch*. It's a fun way to get to
know the winter birds in your yard while making a contribution to the
body of scientific knowledge about birds. For more information about the
project and how to join, just google Project FeederWatch.
I appreciate Randy Smith, Abingdon, for introducing me to Project
FeederWatch in 1989. I have participated for 32 seasons, completing 487
2-day counts. Been enjoyable and therapeutic.
Feel free to call me (423-646-2558) or email if you have questions. I
will be happy to help get you started.
