Fellow Birders:
Mike Sanders and I will be presenting a program entitled "Diurnal
Raptors of Southwest Virginia" this Thursday, October 26, at the
Washington County Public Library in Abingdon, VA. The program begins at
7:00 and will last about an hour.
We will begin with pictures and identifying information about the
diurnal raptors you might find in the region at some time during the
year. The second half of the program will focus on the Mendota Hawk
Watch and the migration of the Broad-winged hawk. Handouts will be
available. The program will include several great photos taken by Mike
Sanders and Jennifer Meade.
Come join us as we celebrate and learn more about these wonderful birds!
Ron
