Today (March 19) I saw 12 Pine Siskins at Oak Hill Cemetery here in Kingsport.
They were eagerly feeding on the newly forming seeds of an old Red Maple tree.
These are the first siskins I've seen locally this year. Also several Tree
Swallows flying overhead in the same location. The Tree Swallows I had at my
home this morning were investigating a bird house this afternoon.
