Osprey "One"

Spring layover along the beautiful banks

of the South Fork Holston River in

eastern Sullivan County continues at

Riverside Road today, 21 April 2015.

Osprey "One" continues to refuel its

body for the continued coming migration

to a favorable nesting area in the north land.

His old favorite dead tree fell in a storm

but he now appears to have taken up a

more favored perch just yards away on the

same side of the river and slightly up stream.

He is now known to have been back again

this year for the11th day.

Meanwhile, downriver a few miles another

Osprey was still on its favored hunting and

layover perch which has now been used for just over two weeks.

For several years, this site fidelity for weeks each spring, clings to
virtually

the same tree and limb.

Let's go birding . . .
