Monday afternoon, Oct. 28 I saw a Northern Pintail on the pond at Clyde
Austin 4-H Center in Greene Co., TN. It was a lone male among a flock of
mixed Mallards and kept to itself. I did not see it Tuesday. Today,
Wednesday, Oct. 30, it was present at about 9 am, head tucked in and off to
itself a short distance from the dabbling Mallards.
Other recent residents at the 4-H Center include White-throated Sparrows
& White-crowned Sparrows, both occasionally singing, Ruby-crowned Kinglets,
and Yellow-bellied Sapsuckers.
