I searched this evening (Sept. 17) at home in Hampton, TN, for evidence of
fall migration. There wasn't a lot moving.
I did finally find some activity that consisted of Ruby-throated
Hummingbirds, Tennessee Warblers, Chestnut-sided Warbler and American Redstart.
I also
observed a Winter Wren in a pile of old logs and brush. Other birds included an
Eastern Towhee, several Northern Cardinals, Carolina Wren, Carolina Chickadees
and Tufted Titmice.
