I was walking along the ridge trail at JNP yesterday and happened to look up
and way at the top of a tree was a Merlin. Could have easily walked pass
without noticing.
Also Winter Wrens and a Hermit Thrush still hanging around. The city cleared
much of the good habitat along the creek for unclear reasons. I hope it does
not negatively impact spring migration birding too much.
