BRISTOL BIRD CLUB MEETS TUESDAY AT STEELE CREEK PARK

Fall hawk migration counts at Mendota Fire Tower begin in just a few weeks.

That will be the subject of a talk presented by BBC count coordinator
Tom Hunter at the club meeting Tuesday, August 16, at Steele Creek Park
Lodge Conference Room at 7:30 p.m.

It promises to be the most comprehensive and informative talk ever presented
 regarding the Mendota Hawkwatch.

Whether you have been counting hawks there for a lifetime or thinking about
joining in this 60-year tradition, you will get a different look at what it is
all
about. Old timers will say there is nothing new for them about hawkwatching.
Well that may be but there is a load to learn about the Mendota watch.

Some of our members will meet at the Mad Greek Restaurant on the Volunteer
Parkway at 6 p.m. for a Dutch dinner and great social opportunity before going
to Steele Creek Park about 7 p.m. for the meeting.
