[Bristol-Birds] Mendota Hawk Watch 9-18-2009

There was finally some decent flying weather this afternoon for the 
Broad-winged Hawks. I would like to express my deep appreciation to Shane 
Williams and his mother Deborah Williams for graciously agreeing to conduct the 
count after I had to leave at 1:45. They were joined later by Ken Turner who 
helped count as well. Thanks to all of you. Tom Laughlin brought  some of his 
students from ETSU  to the fire tower and there were a few hawks flying while 
they were there.  The following is a combined report from Shane and I.
