[bristol-birds] Mendota Hawk Watch

The 2002 Mendota Hawk Watch was offically kicked off on Tuesday, September 
10, 2002. Despite favorable winds and sunshine, the flow of birds was 
relatively slow. The "diehard" early watchers included Bob Quillen, Ron 
Pendleton, Bob Riggs, and yours truely. During slow times, we occupied 
ourselves identifying other species in and around the tower. Old Coot could 
have picked up two lifers: Ravens and a Ruffed Grouse were seen each day.

Bay-breasted W., Magnolia W., E. Pewee, Mourning Dove, Pileated WP, Downy WP, 
Chimney Swift, B. Vulture, T. Vulture, Screech Owl, Summer Tanager (female), 
Solitary Vireo, House Wren, C. Crow, C. Chickadee, C. Wren, White-breasted 
NH, and Red-headed WP.
