Weather:
Rain turned into drizzle by 9:00. Rain ceased as clouds continued for
remainder of day. Rain was spotted at several different locations
surrounding the tower throughout the day. East winds throughout the day.
Cloud cover remained, very spotty sun.

Raptor Observations:
Raptors were ….sparse to say the least.

Non-raptor Observations:
Other things of note …After picking up weather station, I drove to top of
clinch Mountain. Patchy fog and drizzle. Therefore, I drove back off
mountain and set up on the Holston River Bridge on Federal Road. I kept a
watch primarily toward Clinch Mountain and observed 12 total BW hawks in
groups of 1 to 2, and 1 Osprey. Sun was lighting up scattered places on
the south face of Clinch Mountain. None were flying much above top of
mountain as per view from the valley floor. By 11:00 I relocated to tower
and remained until 3 pm. Activity VERY sparse and scattered throughout the
day.

Predictions:
Birds are ….possibility of some flight if weather clears.
