Martha Dillenbeck, a prominent birder for many years in
Northeast Tennessee, passed away Monday night, according to
her daughter, Joy Crass, who is a subscriber to Bristol Birds Net.
She made her home in Johnson City and was a member of the
Lee & Lois Herndon Chapter of TOS for decades.
"Each of you shared special birding experiences with her and she
really appreciated the time she got to spend with you in the field"
Joy wrote to several birding friends this evening.
Here are the details regarding Martha's service:
There will be no public visitation. A graveside service is to be
conducted on Thursday, February 21, 2013 at 2:30 pm at Mt. Home
National Cemetery under the direction of Pastor James Nipper.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Memorial Fund, c/o
Our Savior Lutheran Church, 212 Sunset Dr., Johnson City, TN 37604.
Morris-Baker Funeral Home in Johnson City, TN is handling the arrangements.
