Yesterday evening (8/21/18), before the Bristol Bird Club meeting, Ron Carrico
and I relocated the Lark Sparrow around 6:30 right b4 the heavy rain associated
with the cold front arrived. It was almost down to the entrance of Observation
Knob Park feeding along the side of Knob Park Rd. It flushed up as we were
about to turn around and head back to Highway 44. It flew back in the direction
of Highway 44 and landed on the park side of Saddle Dam near where Ron
originally located it (about half way between the entrance and hwy 44 - near a
pink camper).
Other birds Ronnie had earlier in the day were 5 Forester’s Terns at
Middlebrook Lake and the Tri-colored Heron at Paddle Creek Pond (both in
Bristol - Sullivan County,TN)
