November 1, 2004 Greene County: Lick Creek Bottoms Wildlife Management Area unit at intersection of Highway 348, North Mohawk Road, and South Mohawk Road (LCBWMA-348/MR); Wal-Mart Distribution Center (WMDC); Kinser Park (KP) I spent a couple of hours this morning birding in western Greene County and added a forty-five minute trip to Kinser Park (southeastern Greene County) in the afternoon. Results were good, especially in regard to sparrows. Here are the highlights: Double-crested Cormorant (2 KP); American Black Duck (WMDC); Gadwall (11 WMDC); Green-winged Teal (10 WMDC); American Wigeon (6 WMDC); Ring-necked Duck (2 WMDC); American Coot (3 WMDC); Greater Yellowlegs (2 KP); Tree Swallow (15 LCBWMA-348/MR); Golden-crowned Kinglet (3); Ruby-crowned Kinglet; American Pipit (7); Savannah Sparrow (2); Vesper Sparrow (LCBWMA-348/MR); Lapland Longspur (LCBWMA-348/MR).
