Area Birders;

Kevin Hamed has taken a new position as a fulltime member of the biology
faculty at Virginia Highlands Community College in Abingdon, Va.

Kevin is filling the biology faculty teaching postion formerly held by Doug
Ogle, a former long-time and prominent member of the college fauculty.

This past year he taught as an adjunct at the college.

He has turned in a two-week notice to the City of Bristol Tennessee where he
was the chief park natrualist at the Steele Creek Nature Center.

We're going to miss his familiar face at the nature center and all the good
things he did for that program and for the Bristol Bird Club.

We wish him the best of luck in his new position.

Wallace Coffey
Bristol, TN
