[Bristol-Birds] Re: Juvenile sapsucker found at lower elevation in Grayson Co., VA

In a follow-up regarding the juvenile sapsucker at lower elevation in 

Grayson Co., VA., Thursday, 7 Aug. 2014, Allen Boynton sent along

additional details to help more narrowly define the elevation and

location: "The sapsucker last night was just shy of 2900 feet near my house.


I never see sapsuckers here during the breeding season and my

earliest post-breeding record before this sighting was September 3rd, 2000."

He lives in the Troudale, VA area.

Yellow-bellied Sapsucker 1 "Juvenile - broad white stripe 

from shoulder to primaries while perched at 30 yards, seen 

with 10 x 42 binocs and at 20 yards with 25 x 80 scope. 

Calls also heard. Positive ID."
