A few trips to the dock and birding from the porch provided the following
highlights:
Mute Swan
Gadwall - 15
Mallard - 50+
Northern Pintail - 4
Redhead - 2
Ruddy Duck -2
Bald Eagle - 1 adult
American Coot - 14
Bonaparte's Gull - 3
Rufous Hummingbird - continues to visit feeder on and off all day, and chases
away anyone
who dares to get near her feeder or heat lamp
Brown Thrasher
American Pipit - 9
Fox Sparrow - 2
Swamp Sparrow - 1
White-crowned Sparrow - 3
Purple Finch - 2
12/13/10 - 4 Red-winged Blackbirds at feeders
12/11/10 Common Merganser - 2 males
