[Bristol-Birds] Holston River Field Trip

Hello Fellow Birders,  The weather for the field trip was a little chilly but 
fine otherwise!  Three Bristol Bird Club members (Bill Grigsby, John Hay and I) 
met at 8 a.m. for a BBC field trip and began birding along the Holston River.  
We saw 35 species of birds and a pair of RIVER OTTERS!  The birds seen were:

Mallard (100+),  Killdeer (14),  Black Vulture (96+),  Pied Billed Grebe (2),  
Canada Goose (At least 50),  Mourning Dove (1),  Great Blue Heron (5),  
Red-tailed hawk (1),  Red-bellied Woodpecker (3),  Turkey Vulture (2),  
Double-crested Cormorant (2),  Chipping Sparrow (2),  Eastern Bluebird (3),  
Field Sparrow (2),  European Starling (50+),  Northern Mockingbird  (2),  Rock 
Pigeon (23),  Dark-eyed Junco (1),  Carolina Chickadee (8),  Downy Woodpecker 
(2),  Yellow-rumped Warbler (8), Blue Jay (7),  Tufted Titmouse (4),  Carolina 
Wren (4),  Song Sparrow (6),  Hairy Woodpecker (1),  American Robin (15),  
Osprey (1),  Eastern Phoebe (1),  Belted Kingfisher (3),  Northern Cardinal 
(3),  Red-winged Blackbird (17),  Gadwall (2),  Hooded Merganser (5),  
Yellow-bellied Sapsucker (1).  In order of first of that species seen!
