[Bristol-Birds] Herndon Club Spring Bird Count and May Meeting

The Herndon Bird Club SPRING BIRD COUNT will be held a week from Saturday, 
April 27.  The count covers the five counties:  Washington, Carter, Sullivan, 
Unicoi and Johnson.  The seven counting group leaders, areas and participants 
are listed at the end of this message.  

The COMPILATION will be at Sycamore Shoals in Elizabethton on Sunday, April 28. 
 Meet at 3:00 p.m. at the picnic tables.  In case of rain, meet inside.

The regular May CLUB MEETING will be held Tuesday, May 7, at 7:00 p.m. in the 
Science Building at Milligan College in Elizabethton.  Come up the entry road 
into the College, turn right just past the Gregory Center (on the right) into 
the parking lot.  The Science Building is straight ahead as you come into the 
parking lot.  The meeting will be in a room on the right just as you enter the 
Science Building.  

Agenda items include possible planning of a club field trip in mid-May, 
election of officers, discussion of the Summer Bird Count, and planning of 
nightjar surveys.  After the meeting, those interested will go to the nearby 
Patton Cemetery to listen for Chuck-will's-widows.  

   The program for the May 7 meeting will be a presentation by Paul and Emily 
Bayes entitled:

Winter Birds of Florida

Prior to the Tuesday, May 7, meeting, some members will meet at Bellacino's 
Italian Restaurant on South Roan St. (Food City Parking Lot) in Johnson City 
around 5:30 p.m. to eat and socialize before the meeting.  ALL are INVITED and 
WELCOME to the meeting and to Bellacino's.
