Looks like Monday was the pick of the litter. Thanks for all the reports and 
all the great work again this year. I really enjoyed most of the days I was up 
there with you this season, 'most' because I still think there is one or 
two dozen of those bugs still in my ears etc. 

Everyone, unless you were there it is impossible to imagine the ropes of black 
bugs we could see as far away as the NE point. They really looked like black 
shafts of light. I've been to North Bay Ontario and dealt with hoards 
of black flies and been in swarms of mosquitoes in the Aleutians. Though the 
Mendota Black Menace did not bite, in numbers alone they are the swarming 
champions!!!

Hope to see you again next September.

Weather:
Fog early with low hanging clouds. Clearing during the afternoon until
clear skies for the last 2 hours. Winds were brisk with 10 to 15 mph out of
the SSW and gradually working around to WSW. Gusts to 20 at times.

Raptor Observations:
Broadwings still moving through in small groups. The shifting winds and
loss of thermals slowed the flow during the last 2 hours.
4 Bald Eagles today and another Peregrine.
