Weather: Partly cloudy until late afternoon. The winds were moderate and mostly out ot the North or Northwest. The temperatures were moderate. Raptor Observations: This was a great day for viewing hawks. They started coming through at 10:15 and continued until 4 PM. There were no huge groups but steady all day. Non-raptor Observations: I had an all-star group of hawkwatchers today. Ron Harrington, Mike Sanders, John Whinery, Roy Knispel, Brookie Potter, Jim Anderson, Rob Biller, Ron Carrico, Roger Mayhorn, David Raines, Ron Pendelton and Joel Keebler. A wealth of expertise in this group. Notable sightings - Yellow-billed Cuckoo, Philadelphia Vireo, Bay-breasted, Tennessee, Cape May, Black & White Warblers.
