Honorable Trap-master: Don't think we haven't been in great need of the keen mind and skills of the trap-master. It has been discussed almost daily. We have envisioned a rocket net but have no idea where we could soon get one. A compressed air system has much more promise than anything we have conceived. We are very humble and we bow to the trap-master's wisdom and resources. We wait on bended knee for further opportunities to capture, band and collect information on Ring-billed Gulls. This is a very difficult process. Little seems to be known about how to proceed. We acknowledge that we are in over our heads. We are making slight progress with near helpless infant crawling efforts. We need a strong mind with giant trapping steps to show us how to walk with big and quick strides and many gulls banded in one "fowl swoop." Let's go banding.... Had you done so, all would have been well in the gull trapping world. > Actually I have been watching the gulls fly and envisioning a rocket net propelled by compressed air to make the captures. Bait with fish scraps and lettuce, and away you go. > > Ken Hale > Bristol, TN > ************************************************* > BRISTOL BIRDS NET LIST > > This is a regional birding list sponsored by the > Bristol Bird Club to facilitate communications > between birders and bird clubs of Southwest Virginia > and Northeast Tennessee.
