Bristol Birders, Michelle and I spent the day birding the mountain tops along the Virginia-Kentucky border today. Our first stop was Beaver Knob, a large reclaimed strip mine site where we found quite a few Grasshopper Sparrows as well as other species. We then spent the rest of the day birding the Breaks Interstate Park in Virginia. For those interested, here is a link to our trip write-up, pictures, and species list. http://www.grundynet.net/talbott/birding/hikes/Sum03/BeaverKnob.htm Good Birding, Ed Talbott Buchanan County Bird Club ************************************************* BRISTOL BIRDS NET LIST This is a regional birding list sponsored by the Bristol Bird Club to facilitate communications between birders and bird clubs of Southwest Virginia and Northeast Tennessee.
