Bristol Birders

Quality time in the field this weekend produced quality results. =
Saturday October 5 I enjoyed the ETOS fall count in the party of Wallace =
Coffey and Chris O'Bryan. We got off to an early start and saw some fine =
birds in Johnson and Sullivan Counties. Three lifers showed up on my =
list including the Bay-breasted Warbler - Backbone Rock Area, Marsh Wren =
and Bobolink- Quarry Bog.

Today, October 6, my bithday, I managed another life bird tic by =
identifying the Canada Warbler at the Access Area near Musick's =
Campground. I also picked up 10 first of the fall Yellow-rumped Warblers =
while at Musick's. BTW, Virgil reports that Arkansas is also responsible =
for the longest football game in NCAA history, last night was the second =
longest game with the Vol's taking a SIX overtime decision!

The Sat/Sun trip thru Bristol Multi-Sport Complex was very exciting both =
days. Saturday the Complex was the last stop on my way home from S. =
Holston area and our fall count group added four species not found =
elsewhere during the day. The grandest, in my opinion, being the =
Nashville Warbler. Today at the Complex I got a female Rose-breasted =
Grosbeak, Indigo Buntings and tons of A. Goldfinchs. =20

'Til we bird again
