Street's Gap (Right Higgins Creek Road)
Brookie Potter and I did some scouting for the 1st Annual Unicoi County Summer
Count tomorrow. From Street's Gap, we walked south along the Appalachian Trail
to the clearing at the top of the ridge (elevation about 4400'). We found 25
species along the walk.
Notable Species:
Yellow-bellied Sapsucker (1)
Least Flycatcher (3)
Veery (6)
Golden-winged Warbler (1) - male singing
Rose-breasted Grosbeak (2)
Red Crossbill (1) - flyover
