Gina Sheridan had a Bay-breasted Warbler (1)
27 May 2015 at Sycamore Shoals State Historic Park,
Elizabethton, Carter County, TN
"This was an unexpected find! This bird was loosely
associating with a flock of goldfinches in a tall
tree. I had a brief but good view of this bird in
profile. The most striking features were the high
contrast wing pattern of slaty colored wing coverts
contrasting with the prominent wing bars, and the
strong chestnut color that ran from beneath the
throat and down along the flanks. This female lacked
the black face and chestnut hood of male."
