If you or others a're going on Allan or Jerry's excursion, please read the below for the departure area. This is part of the Appalachian Trail Conference (soon to be Conservancy) national meet held at ETSU July 1-8. Registration is at Culp; departure area is near the minidome.

Thank you all for volunteering to lead AT hikes during the ATC Meeting. Following is some info you might be interested in.
1. .... You should be at the starting area (see campus map on the ATC
meeting Web site for location: <http://www.southernhighlands2005.org>www.southernhighlands2005.org.) at least 1/2 hour before the starting time.
(I was unaware they had the map in the web site. It is not in the ATN packet. Note that the hike Departure Area is shown and quite a ways away from the Registration Area. You should come to the Departure Area at 30 minutes before the time of the hike. VCC)
