This looks like a great event for the weekend of May 12-14th. Several Bristol Birders are participating as guides. It looks as if individual events are going to be held at various locations on the Clinch Mountain Birding Trail in the Saltville area. For more info, check out the website or contact Tracy Mitchell.

Owl Hoot - 8 - 10:00 pm at <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Hungry Mother State Park



Saturday ? May 13:

Bird Walk in Saltville Well Fields - 7:00 - 9:30 am Guide: Wallace Coffey

This inland saline marsh attracts migrating warblers & the occasional shorebird.



Bird Walk in Elk Garden - 7:00 - 9:30 am Guide: Dave Worley

Featuring the bobolink!



Great Blue Heron Rookery ? 1:00 - 2:00 pm

The rookery currently has over a dozen pairs of birds sitting on nests.



Sunday ? May 14:

Bird Walk at Laurel Bed Wildlife Management Area - 7:00 - 9:30 am

Butterfly Walk at Laurel Bed Wildlife Management Area ? 9:45 - 11:00 am
