Subject: Re: [Bristol-Birds] Wilson’s Warbler
Hey Larry,
Nice bird. I got one too, yesterday 5-1-22 early AM, a female, on the
back deck, literally. It came out of the shrubery shrubberry bushes onto the
deck where I was sitting, then up on the gutter about 10 ft. away from me. I
saw the all yellow underparts, and olive upperparts, a yellow eyering, slight
darkening on the crown, and gray tail cocked up high. I haven't seen it again,
but I'll be watching.

p.s. Can you forward this to Bristol-birds for me?

A male Wilson's Warbler was in our yard at 7:30 am this morning. I was on the
patio drinking coffee and enjoying the birds. I decided to try the Merlin sound
app. It was doing good until it said Wilson's Warbler. Then I noticed a warbler
song I couldn't ID. I played Wilson's to remind myself of its song. It landed
in a bush 10 feet from me. Then it landed on a wire about 40 feet away where I
was able to get fair photos. I heard a song like this several times last year
and again over the last couple days. I couldn't figure out what it was. Thanks
Merlin.
