I ran the Fish Springs Breeding Bird Survey in Carter County on Friday (6-6). The route begins at Fish Springs on Watauga Lake, crosses Walnut Mtn, and ends near Roan Mtn State Park. A total of 56 species were recorded. Nothing highly unusual, but a pair of Kentucky Warblers on Buck Mtn road was nice. Below are the totals for each species.
