I heard my FOY whip-poor-will across the holler on 4/4/09, in the evening. Last night there was one about 20 feet from the house. Too durn close for me - they're ear-splitting at that distance. >>>>>> 4/4 is relatively late - earliest record here since 2000 was 3/23; latest, 4/8.
