J. G. and I have been doing some birding this morning - first to Panhandle
Road (still no Ruffed Grouse), then on to the Linear Trail in Elizabethton.

Highlights below:

Panhandle Road
Blue-headed Vireo - at least 7 or 8 calling
Louisiana Waterthrush - (we saw three of them on 03/29/2018 and one calling
today)
Golden-crowned Kinglet

Elizabethton Linear Trail
Osprey - 2
Red-tailed Hawk - 3
Pileated Woodpecker
Brown Thrasher
Northern Rough-winged Swallow
Blue-gray Gnatcatcher  - how exciting!!!
Ravens - 2

Oh - went hiking a little at Winged Deer Park on Thursday (bluebells are
fully bloomed and beautiful) - found another Brown Creeper in the deciduous
forest there.

Lots of fun stuff!!!  Get out there and go birding - never know what you
might find this time of year!
