On 1/25/2019 I was in the parking lot of Comfort Suites on John B Dennis in
Kingsport, TN. As I exited my vehicle I heard a murder of crows in the sky. I
noticed they were harassing a larger black bird who eventually called and gave
away his identity as he flew at eye level from my hill top perch. At one point
the raven landed in the Hardee’s parking lot below in an effort to evade his
stalkers. He took to the skies again and flew straight toward me before turning
and working his way back towards Bays Mountain and out of sight. Always
thrilling to see a not so common raven.
