Saturday 10/08/2011 while canoeing on the Clinch River near Clinchport VA.
--1 BALD EAGLE -- 14 years of canoeing the stretch from Hill Station to
Clinchport, my first eagle. One was seen in 2004 near Clinchport by another
Natural Tunnel State Park interpreter.

-- turkey vultures
-- great blue heron
-- mockingbird
-- pileated woodpecker
Sunday 10/09/2011 while canoeing the Clinch River between Clinchport and Copper
Creek (High Clinchfield/CSX trestle)
-- BALD EAGLE again, along the Clinch as it parallels US23
-- Osprey at Clinchport boat ramp
-- Osprey near Copper Creek trestle (could be the same bird)
-- great blue heron
-- wood ducks
-- mallards
-- Canada geese
-- kingfisher
-- turkey vultures
-- chimney swifts
