IT IS SUCH A BEAUTIFUL DAY!
I spent the morning birding Carter County today (10/31/2003)
Notable birds:
· Green-winged Teal (2) Workforce Development Complex (Great Lakes) pond in
Stoney Creek
The following were observed in the field/shrub/marshy area
behindthe US post office in Elizabethton:
· Cooper?s Hawk (1)
· RED-SHOULDERED HAWK (2)
· Field Sparrow (4)
· Savannah Sparrow (13)
· Swamp Sparrow (7)
· VESPER SPARROW (5)
· and of course, numerous White-throated and Song Sparrows
