Although not a normal area listing I thought I would share what I saw in Cades Cove today. Aside from Bear, Dear and Turkey, I found a mixed flock of chickadees, titmouse, nuthatches, and warblers. Pileated and Downy woodpeckers, chipping sparrow, and other young sparrows, Indigo Buntings and several pairs of Blue Grosbeaks. Red-tail, red-shouldered, sharp-shinned and Broad-winged hawks. As I was getting ready to leave a Northern Harrier made an appearance flying over the fields. Fall migration in right around the corner, if not already here..
