2 Cackling Geese found yesterday by Larry McDaniel at Boone's Creek, near Johnson City, were refound this morning. They were in the field of corn stubble on Picken's Bridge Rd. with a flock of Canada Geese. Although they flew off while I was there, this flock probably feeds there frequently (still lots of corn on ground). In the flock, one Canada had a green neck-collar with 4KV1 and another had a red leg band. Of interest, there have been 2 reports of Cackling Geese near Asheville, in western NC, recently. The 1 at Lake Junaluska was still there today. ################### Rick Knight Johnson City, TN rknight@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ************************************************* BRISTOL BIRDS NET LIST Bristol Birds Net Photo Gallery located at: http://f2.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/jwcoffeyy/album?.dir=/efd5 This is a regional birding list sponsored by the Bristol Bird Club to facilitate communications between birders and bird clubs of Southwest Virginia and Northeast Tennessee. -------------------------------------------------- You are subscribed to Bristol-Birds.
