Greetings from Claytor Lake, Today I counted 50 (fifty), (give or take a couple), Purple Finches on the feeders and surrounding trees! 1 Pine Siskin graced me with his presence for a short while at the thistle seed feeder, also at the feeders was a field and chipping sparrow, and a strange finch, which I thought at first was another crossbill. I took a photo this strange billed bird. Take a look! Four Common Loons and an osprey were seen on the lake. Good Birding, Mark Mullins **************Planning your summer road trip?
